Series 1:

This is a series of native birds I have painted on 15cm x 15cm canvases. 

For the backgrounds, I have used Resene paints. I find that they give me the bright vibrant colours I want, that really allow the birds to pop. 

The birds are painted using basic acrylic paints. 

Series 2:

This is a series of New Zealand birds, often overlooked.  

All backgrounds are Resene paints again.  I love the opaque background that it gives me to work with. These are painted on A4 acrylic paper.
